A long line for prayingToday I introduce  “Tori-no-Ichi” Festivals of Ohtori shrine in Nerima.
Nerima Station is the second station from both Fujimidai Station and Ekoda Station.
The Festivals are held twice or three times on a day of Tori every November since the Edo era.
Tori is one of the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac.
They were held on the 10th and 22nd of this month in this year.
They are the events to celebrate Japanese mythical “Yamato Takeru no Mikoto”.
People make a long line for praying.
The stage for Kagura
You can watch “Kagura Dance” on the stage in the shrine.
Kazari Kumade


Kumades decorated with colorful of fortune are sold in the yard of the shrine.

Kumade
is a kind of a broom, whose features spread out end in order to gather lager quantity at a time. The gorgeous broom is called Kazari Kumade. It symbolizes a belief which brings business success, family safety and good fortune.
When the negotiations between a seller and a buyer agreed, they close it out with a three-three-seven hand clap. It means celebration.
Tens of thousaFood standnds of people come over and there are more than 100 food stands.
I went there twice. I ate food named Syaping this time. I gave it up for the long line last time. It was very delicious.Mask stand
